William Nile Casady
William Nile Casady, age 91, died the morning of June 29, 1983 at his home, 409 N. West St., Bloomfield, Iowa
He was a barber, 20 years in Milton and 12 years in Bloomfield, and worked at Scheaffer Pen from 1942 to 1958.
His parents were Andrew and Margaret Foster Casady. He was born near Troy in Davis County on April 20, 1902. He was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church and a Past Master of Masons No. 413 in Douds. He married Mabel Black June 24, 1923 in Douds.
Surviving are his wife, sons Charles of Council Bluffs and Gary of Bloomfield, daughters Bonita Hand of Bettendorf and Joyce Sheumaker of Burlington, brothers, Harold of Des Moines and August of Marshalltown, one sister, Marie Zeitler of Douds, 13 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, one sister, and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 2, 1983 at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Don Slaughter officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton. A memorial has been established to the Bloomfield Christian Church.
