VERA GEE

Mrs. Vera Marie Gee, 82, of the Montrose Health Care Center, died Monday, July 4 in Fort Madison Community Hospital after several years of failing health.

Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

She was born November 7, 1900 in Farmington to Jacob and Josephine Simmons Muntz. She married Wilbern Gee July 2, 1926 in Fort Madison.

She lived in Fort Madison for the past 57 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and held memberships for 54 years in the American Legion Auxiliary and Rebecca Lodge.

Survivors include step-daughters Mrs. Marian Barnes of Fort Madison and Mrs. John (Virginia) Comstock of Davenport; sister, Mrs. Fern Wells of Donnellson; three step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, June 19, 1976.
