DELIA LAWSON

Delia R. "Dee" Lawson, Ottumwa, died at 1:30 p.m. March 27, 1983, in St. Francis Continued Care Center in Burlington.

She was born November 9, 1898, at Fairfield to John and Mary McIntire Coats. She graduated from Bonaparte High School in 1917 and attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. She taught school in Oskaloosa for 25 years and was principal of Whittier School. She lived in Ottumwa since 1944. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, member and past president (1951-53) of Ottumwa Women's Club, a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star 112 and a member of the PEO Chapter HR, Fortnightly Club, New Century Club, Golden Juilee Circle King's Daughters and the American Legion Auxiliary. She married Lloyd W. Larson September 9, 1944, and he died October 29, 1975.

Surviving is a sister, Mary W. Huff of El Segundo, California.

Reece Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A memorial was established for her church.
