Bessie L. Brown

Bessie L. Brown, age 89 of Stockport R.R. passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 1983 at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

She was born July 18, 1893 at Omaha, Nebr., the daughter of Thomas and Annabelle McGrew Waters. She was married on Sept. 26, 1916 to Arza R. Brown at Mount Pleasant, Iowa. he preceded her in death July 21, 1979.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clara Cox of Richland, Iowa and Mrs. Margaret Hubbs of Kingsman, Ariz., four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Eunice Kayser of Albuquerque, N.M. and two brothers, Paul Waters of Mount Pleasant and Max Waters of Blakesburg.

Mrs. Brown was a member of the Stockport United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held January 20, 1983 with Rev. David Kennedy and Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Interment was in Spencer Cemetery.

Memorials to the Shriner's Crippled Childrens Fund may be left at the Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham.
