LUMBERMAN DIES AT HOME OF SON

________________________________________________________John T[homas]. McGlothlen, 56, manager of the Hawkeye Lumber Co. at Stockport, died at 11 a. m. today at the home of his son, Maurice McGlothlen of Ottumwa, after two years' illness.
He was brought to his son's home this week after his sister, Mrs. Mamie Wilson of Longmont, Colo., who had been caring for him, had to return to her home because of her own poor health.
Mr. McGlothlen was born in Oskaloosa and later moved to Ottumwa. He came to Stockport from Ottumwa in 1912 and was manager of the Hutchison Lumber Co. there until this firm sold to the Hawkeye Lumber Co. Mr. McGlothlen continued as manager for the Hawkeye firm until his death.
He is survived by three sons, Maurice of Ottumwa, police radio operator here; Frank McGlothlen, proprietor of a drug store at Stockport, and George McGlothlen, a teacher in Arkansas, and one sister, Mrs. Mamie Wilson of Longmont, Colo.
The body was taken to the Davidson funeral parlors at Stockport.
