Obituary
BERTHA LIVESAY

Former Fairfield resident Bertha W. Livesay, 82, of Country Lane Apartments died at 3 a.m. July 15, 1982 In Van Buren County Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 20, 1900, in Blackwater, Va. to the Rev. Jonas and Nora Glass Lambert. She married Andrew Jackson Livesay. He has died. She lived in Virginia until 1919 when she lived in Keokuk County, Packwood, Fairfield and Keosauqua. She was a member of the Baptist Church and Abingdon Dorcas Society.

Survivors: son Alex of Keosauqua; daughter Joyce Saunders of Des Moines; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers George Lambert of Jonesville, Va.; and sisters Ruby and Joe Lambert of Miami, Fla., Alma Johnson and Clara Anderson of Kingsport, Tenn., Pearl Everhardt of Rockwell, N.C.

Services were held Monday, July 19, 1982 at Raymond Funeral Home, Fairfield, the Rev. Doug Lofton officiating. Burial was in the Packwood Cemetery.

Memorial: Heart Fund.
