Edward W. Schissel

Edward W. Schissel, Cresco, Iowa, passed away June 19, 1982 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Donald Smith, of Keosauqua. He was born the son of Joseph and Stephanie (Funk) Schissel on October 20, 1908 at Ossian, Iowa.

On May 5, 1931 he married Theresa Meyer, who preceded him in death on May 18, 1981, as did two brothers, Ludwig and John W. and an infant sister. He is survived by two sons, Dale of Brainerd, Minn. and Luke of Greenwood, Mississippi, and three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Barbara) Winter, Hawkeye, Iowa, Mrs. Donald (Joyce) Smith, Keosauqua, Nancy Breanlt, Shell Beach, Calif., 12 grandchildren and two grandchildren.
