ELIZABETH MAE FOSTER

Elizabeth Mae Foster, the fourth child of William and Rose Anna Duncanson Carter, was born May 1, 1893, near Glasgow and departed this life Saturday, April 10, 1982 at Donnellson Manor Care Center in Donnellson.

She was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church. On May 7, 1914, she married Everette Foster at Washington, Iowa. He died November 20, 1974, following an automobile accident. After her husband's death, she moved from their home in Cantril, where they had lived for 21 years, to Stockport senior citizen's apartments. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and the following brothers and sisters; an infant brother, Mrs. Roy (Pearl) Billingsley, Mrs. Denver (Cleo) Ramey, Lloyd Carter and Allen Carter.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 13, 1982, at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Rev. Richard DeVore of the Stockport Christian Church officiating. Interment was in Hillsboro Cemetery. Memorials were established for the Southeast Iowa Blood Bank and Van Buren County Memorial Hospital.
