WILLARD C. DICKERSON

Willard C. (Bill) Dickerson, son of Guy and Flossie Richcreek Dickerson, was born October 21, 1906 in Coshocton County, Ohio and departed this life Wednesday, March 3, 1982, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua at the age of 75.

On November 27, 1935, he married Helen Park. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Forrest of Ironton, Missouri and Jay of Keosauqua and four daughters, Connie Hill, Mt. Pleasant, Phyllis Haynes, DeLand, Florida, Crystal Dickerson, Keosauqua, and Cynthia Villhauer, Iowa City; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Frank of Tucson, Arizona, Edward of Nashport, Ohio and Ike of Canten, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Griggs of Dresden, Ohio and Laura Brooks of Tucson, Arizona; other relatives and friends.

Mr. Dickerson was a retired farmer and blacksmith. He was a member of Bonaparte Lodge No. 73, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, a thirty-second degree Mason in the Davenport Consistory, a Knight Templar in York Rite Masonry in Ottumwa and a member of Bonaparte Odd Fellows Lodge.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 6, 1982, at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Rev. Kenneth Harden officiating. Bonaparte Lodge No. 73 was in charge of Masonic rites. Burial was in Bonaparte Cemetery.
