EMRY C. BOYLES

Emry C. Boyles, 81, formerly of Fort Madison, Iowa and more recently of Clark County Nursing Home, Kahoka, Missouri, passed away on February 1, 1982 at 5:55 p.m.

The son of Hiram C. and Hattie Shuemaker Boyles, he was born in Rice Township, Ringgold, Iowa, on July 15, 1900.

He was united in marriage to Hazel Ennis at Lamoni, Iowa, on July 15, 1924 and she preceded him in death on October 12, 1968.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Amah Lou Schreiber, Revere, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Boyles, Mt. Ayr, Iowa, and Mable Boyle, Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren; four nieces and one nephew, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Robert; one sister, Ethel Toland; two grandsons; his parents and his wife.

He was a member of the Sante Fe Methodist Church of Fort Madison, Iowa and was a retired prison guard.

Graveside funeral services and buriel were held on Wednesday, February 3, 1982, at 2:30 p.m. at the Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison, with Dr. Clinton F. Wofford officiating. Memorials may be made to the Clark County Nursing Home, Kahoka, Missouri. Arrangements were in Shaffer & Sons Funeral Home, Kahoka, Missouri.
