FLOYD O. BENTZINGER

Floyd O. Bentzinger, 72, of 1319 Avenue G, Fort Madison, died at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, at home.

He was born January 10, 1910, at West Point to Oscar and Martha Wharton Bentizinger. He married Martha Stellern, who died December 10, 1955.

He spent his life in West Point, was a clerk at Ron's Supermarket for 22 years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Fort Madison.

Surviving: one daughter, Mrs. James (Barbara) Pollpeter, Denmark; one son, Darrell, Gifford, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Ina Winke and Mrs. Stella Ross, both of Fort Madison, Mrs. Robert (Faye) Mitchell, Bonaparte; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 1982, at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Anthony Labedia officiating. Burial was in Gethesemane Cemetery. King-Link Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established for the Iowa Lung Association.
