Ruth M. Woods, 73, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Fort Madison, died on Tuesday, February 9 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids after a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 4, 1908 at Fort Madison. She married Russell R. Woods, October 4, 1928 at Burlington. He preceded her in death in 1969.

Mr. Woods had been employed until her retirement by Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association and Ladies' Auxiliary of Cedar Rapids Eagle Clue #2272.

Surviving: one daughter, Rebecca R. Wright, of Marion.

Services were held Friday, February 12, at Turner Chapel East in Cedar Rapids, with Rev. B.L. Brown of Noelridge Park Christian Church officiating.

Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington.
