SCOTT ALLAN SMITH

Scott Allan Smith, son of Billy and Donna Short Smith, was born November 19, 1962 in Bloomfield and departed this life early Saturday, January 30, 1982 in a highway accident between Cantril and Milton on Highway No. 2 at the age of 19. He lived his entire life in the Cantril community, where he was employed at Short's Feed and Grain Co. He graduated from Fox Valley High School with the class of 1981.

Surviving are his parents of Cantril, a brother Clyde and his wife Kay of Moberly, Missouri, a sister Susan at home, his grandmother, Mrs. Leonard Wells of Eldon, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 2, 1982, at 11 a.m. in the Cantril United Methodist Church, with Rev. Gerald Caughron and Rev . Edward Kail officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery at Cantril. A memorial was established for the church or the Cantril public library. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, was in charge of arrangements.
