JOE WARNER MOORE

Joe Warner Moore, son of Edward and Ruth Warner Moore, was born near Lebanon in Van Buren County, Iowa, May 4, 1904. He departed this life at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, Iowa on Tuesday, January 12, 1982, at the age of 77.

He spent 74 years of his life on the farm where he was born. His education was in the rural school near the farm home. On June 7, 1933 he was married to Esther J. Harryman in Rockford, Stephenson County, Illinois. He brought his bride to the farm homestead where they cared for the parents until their deaths.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Esther, who died June 6, 1981; his sister, June Moore Fisher; his brother, Hollis; and a niece, Rebecca Moore. His only survivors are cousins and in-laws.

Following Esther's death, he was moved to the Good Samaritan Care Center where he resided until his death.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 15, 1982, at 1:30 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Interment was in the Lebanon Cemetery.
