A.J. LANE

A.J. Lane, 82, of near Stockport died the afternoon of October 10, 1981 in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

He was born east of Stockport, October 8, 1899 to Wilson and Anna Jacobs Lane. He married Verle Philips, October 8, 1924, in Mt. Pleasant. He served as a steward and was an honorary trustee of Stockport United Methodist Church.

Survivors are his wife, daughters Dorothy Robison of Pulaski and Betty Kempffer of Vancouver, Wash.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and a brother, Frank Lane of Stockport.

Services were held Tuesday, October 13, 1981 at 2 p.m. at the Stockport United Methodist Church with Rev. David R. Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Spencer Cemetery.

Memorials: payable to his church and may be left at the funeral home.
