NELLIE E. HARRYMAN

Nellie Harryman, daughter of Elmer and Martha Shelton Cowan, was born September 28, 1908 in Van Buren County and departed this life Monday, December 7, 1981, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua at the age of 73.

On March 30, 1932 she married Cecil W. Harryman. He died in 1973. Also preceding her in death were a son, Cecil, Jr. and two brothers, Donald and John Cowan.

Remaining to cherish her memory are three sons, Elvan of Keosauqua, Gary of Adrian, Illinois, and Marvin of Mt. Zion, two daughters, Marlene McLane of Columbus, Ohio and Cora Parker, Fort Madison, fifteen grandchildren, a brother, Sidney Cowan in California, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Harryman was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Luray, Missouri. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, a good neighbor and friend.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 10, 1981, at 10:30 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with Rev. Harold Shelton officiating. Pallbearers were Dean Phillips, William Bloom, Earl Grandstaff, Melvin Gordy, Ross Cochenour and James Cochenour. Interment was in Leando Cemetery.
