MANLEY J. PENDER

Manley J. Pender son of R. Lewis and Carrie Barker Pender, was born July 17, 1899 in Van Buren County and departed this life Wednesday March 25, 1981 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua at the age of 81.

He was single and lived most of his life in Bonaparte.

Surviving are a brother, Harley, of Bonaparte, a niece, Esther Vinyard of Burlington and a nephew, Oscar Pender of Bonaparte, other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the Bonaparte Odd Fellows Lodge.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 28, 1981 at 10 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Rev. Louise Knupp officiating. Pall bearers were Richard McCracken, Morris Huff, Clinton Huff, Jr., and Kenneth Hawk.

Interment was in Miller Chapel Cemetery Northeast of Keosauqua.
