Obituary
BERNITA K. MOON

Mrs. Bernita K. Moon, 78, passed away October 9, 1981 at the Ames Hospital in Ames, Iowa.

Funeral services were October 12 at 1:30 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich - Lewis Funeral Home in Muscatine, with Dr. Kenneth Metcalf in charge of services. Burial was in Muscatine Cemetery at Muscatine.

Bernita Moon was born May 5, 1903 at New London, Iowa, to William and Lora Nugen Knickerbocker. She was a teacher in the Milton Schools, and on September 9, 1928 was married to Paul A. Moon of Milton, at New London. He preceded her in death in 1969.

They made their home in Milton for several years, moving from Milton to Keokuk and then to Muscatine, where she had lived the past 29 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Patricia) Chatfield of Slater, Iowa. Her parents as well as her husband preceded her in death.
