Sandra Kay Fuller Bartell, 73, of Houghton, Iowa passed away at 5:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 at her son's home in Houghton.

She was born on June 28, 1942 in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Cody and Dorothy (Campbell) Fuller. On February 14, 1960 she married James S. Peterson, Sr. in San Antonio, Texas, they later divorced. On March 20, 1977 she married Gerald Hoenig in Burlington, Iowa, they later divorced. She later married James Norman Bartell in Burlington, Iowa, he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her four sons Michael (Toni) Peterson of Houghton, Iowa, James S. (Ruby) Peterson, Jr. of Burlington, Iowa, Joseph Dale Peterson of Petosi, Missouri and Jeremy (Samantha) Hoenig of Burlington, Iowa, two daughters Lisa Marie (Greg) Collins of Keithsburg, Illinois and Kimberly Ann Peterson of Fort Madison, Iowa, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, one brother David Bruner of Oquawka, Illinois, three sisters Tina Humphrey of Atkins, Texas, Karen Strause of Lawton, Oklahoma and Nancy Bruner of Oquawka, Illinois and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Norman, one daughter Clara Sue Peterson and one brother Gale Fuller.

Sandra worked as a CNA and retired from the Rosebush Gardens in Burlington. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, going to garage sales, watching football and hockey and spending time with her family.

Following the visitation her body will be cremated. A private burial will be held at the Thompson Cemetery in rural Bonaparte at a later date.
