ROY DOWNARD

Roy Emerson Downard, 66, of Sylvania, Ohio, died suddenly January 11 in Atlanta, Ga.

The son of John L. and Justina Downard, he was born Jan. 11, 1915 near Stockport. He graduated from Stockport High School and retired last year as manager of a shoe store in Toledo, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Viola, son, Richard of Atlanta; daughter, JoAnne Molnar of near Toledo; four brothers, Kermeth and Verne of Keosauqua, Dale of Knoxville, Robert of Peoria; three sisters, Ruth Vickerman and Marguerite Archibald of Keosauqua, Roberta Lerche of Streator, Ill., and four grandchildren. Two brothers, Orlen and John and a sister, Frances, preceded him in death.

Funeral and burial were on Tuesday in Sylvania. Attending from Keosauqua were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Downard, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Archibald, Verne Downard, Robert Vickerman and Linda Goldstein.
