Gonterman rites

Rosie I. Gonterman, 82, 903 w. Briggs, died Wednesday morning at Jefferson County Hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Rominger Cemetery south of Batavia. Visitation is open.

Mrs. Gonterman was born Sept. 12, 1904 in Davis County, the daughter of George and Anna Minick Clark. She had lived in Jefferson County most of her life and had worked at Jefferson County Hospital and at several Fairfield nursing homes for 30 years. She married Floyd Gonterman in 1925. He died in 1954.

Surviving are two sons, Floyd F., Washington; Ralph E., Keosauqua; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
