Vivian I. Martin, 73, of Bonaparte, died at Henry County Health Center.

She was born to Fred and Fay Heminger Hackard. In 1951, she married Everett Neal in Keosauqua. He died in 1953. On May 1, 1960, she married Darnielle "Shike" Martin in Kahoka, Missouri.

Mrs Martin enjoyed flowers, cooking, decorating cakes, and antiquing.

Survivors include her husband of Bonaparte; daughters, Patty Johnson and Carol Mitchell, both of Bonaparte; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Elaine Cole of Bentonsport; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and four brothers.

The funeral was held at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Paul Rekward officiating.
