RICHARD R. GAULE

Richard Raymond Gaule, 60, Bonaparte, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, March 2, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

He was born Dec. 27, 1920 at Keokuk to Richard Luke and Minnie Belle Dunsworth Gaule. He married Mary Cameron Dec. 14, 1941, at Kahoka, Mo.

He spent most of his life in the Ft. Madison area. He was owner and operator of Gaule Photography Studios for 13 years prior to moving to Bonaparte in 1972. He was of the Chrisitan faith and was active in many Masonic orders.

Surviving: his wife; two sons, Richard C., San Francisco, Cal., and William R., Odessa, Texas; four grandchildren and one step-grandchild; three brothers, Joseph M. and Robert L. Gaule, both of Las Vegas, Nev., and William L., West Burlington.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 4 at Barr Memorial Chapel in Ft. Madison with the Rev. George Brown officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery Soldiers Circle. A memorial has been established.
