Lillian Vickers, age 88, died Tuesday, May 25, 1993, at her home in Lone Tree. Funeral services were held Friday at the United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mary Hay officiating. Burial was in the Bonaparte Cemetery in Bonaparte, Iowa.

Sorden’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A Memorial Fund has been established for the Iowa City Hospice.

Lillian Vickers was born October 29, 1904 in Bonaparte, Iowa to parents Guy and Lillian Hutchinson Lydolph. She married Allen “Shorty” Vickers on July 9, 1924 in Keosauqua, Iowa. She was a homemaker and a babysitter.

Survivors include two daughters: Lillian Angerer of Lone Tree and Denise French of Wichita Falls, Texas, and one son: Michael Vickers of More Park, California; one sister: Delpha “Huff’ Post of DeWitt, Iowa; also fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers. Casketbearers were her grandsons and great grandsons.
