Wilbur Wheaton

Wilbur (Coke) Wheaton, 52, died at 11 p.m. Friday at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.

He was born March 20, 1926 in Pulaski to Arlie J. and Doris Hamberg Wheaton. He was a member of the Pulaski Mennonite Church and a veteran of World War II. He married Norma Jean Baughman on Aug. 24, 1947 at Pulaski.

He worked for Lowenberg Bakery in Ottumwa for more than 20 years and also for Mid-States Manufacturing in Milton.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Pamela Kelly of Pulaski and Vicky Wheaton at home; a son, Tim of Jamestown, R.I.; his mother; and a brother, Donald of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services were held today at the Priester Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Roy Kaufman. Burial was in the Pulaski Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Heart Fund.
