SYLVIA WELLS
The service for Mrs. Sylvia Wells, 89, who died Thursday, Sept. 4 was Saturday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. at the Lebanon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harold Harryman and the Rev. Don Strauch officiating. Burial was in the Lebanon Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Sept. 5 from 7:30 to 8:30 at Wellborn Funeral Home at Milton.
Mrs. Wells was born July 29, 1886 in Van Buren County to John and Melissa Koontz Bingaman. On January 23, 1907, she married N.C. Clay Wells. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by a son Harold and daughter Verla.
Surviving are three sons, Fern of Marshalltown, Clarence of Milton and Hollis of Douds; two daughters, Mrs. Donald Hendricks of Bloomfield and Mrs. Ivan Chaplin of Milton; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Kirkhart, Mrs. Lulu Hedge, Mrs. Lee Strait and Mrs. Raymond Rider; and one brother, Don Bingaman.
