MARY TEGLER PUNDT

Mary Tegler Pundt was born in North Germany July 10, 1842, and passed away at her home in Cantril, Iowa, Dec. 4, 1924, aged eighty-two years, four months and twenty-four days.

Shortly after coming to America she was united in marriage, in New York City, in February, 1868, to Fred Pundt.

The then young couple came immediately to Iowa and settled on a farm four miles south of Cantril, Iowa. They continued to live there until they removed to Cantril more than twenty years ago.

Of the seven children born to them, all have passed on except one son, Frank Pundt, who lives on a farm southwest of Cantril.

Years ago Mother Pundt united with the Methodist church at Cantril. For several years she has been in poor health and has come to a well earned crowning of her life.

There remain to mourn her loss, the aged husband, one son, two grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted in the Methodist church at Cantril, Iowa, at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, by the Rev. H. F. Gilbert.
