FRANCES E. MOFFETT

Frances Ella Moffett, daughter of Fred and Ann Jones Walker, was born March 5, 1908, at Burlington and departed this life Friday, May 23, 1980, at St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa at the age of 72.

Her early life was spent in the Burlington area. On September 24, 1931, she married Leonard Moffett at Macomb, Ill. They spent their married life farming in southeastern Iowa and northern Missouri, having lived the past thirty years near Keosauqua.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, three sons, Larry and his wife Mary Lou of Davis City, Gene and his wife Kay of Burbank, California, and Wade and his wife Sheila of West Point; three daughters, Patsy Treneman and her husband David of Marion, Rose Schram and her husband Milt of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Peggy Billman and her husband John of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, a great grandson, and a sister, Edna Bouquet of Burlington, other relatives and friends. Her parents and a granddaughter preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Center Chapel United Methodist Church and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 26, 1980, at 11 A.M. at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Paul Knupp officiating. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
