Minnie Matthews

Minnie L. Matthews, 94, died Sunday morning at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. She had been living with her daughter on route 1, Moulton.

She was born in Davis County on April 26, 1883 to Jacob and Anna Slonaker Amstutz. She had been a lifelong resident of Davis County and was a member of the Pulaski Mennonite Church.

She married William I Matthews on March 28, 1918 at Pulaski. He died in 1962.

Survivors include one son, William J. of Pulaski; one daughter, Mary Ann Fine of rural Moulton; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Weller, assisted by the Rev. S. Roy Kaufman. Burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery.

The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
