Susanna A. McClurg

Susanna A. McClurg, 72, 506 W. Locust, Bloomfield, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday at the Davis County Hospital.

She was born Dec. 14, 1905 at Bennett to Thomas P. and Miranda Metzger Barnes. She had been a resident of Bloomfield for 47 years.

She was affiliated with the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's Christian Society, a charter member of Chapter Q of TTT Society and a member of the Friday Club.

Also surviving are two sons, Paul Thomas of Rock Rapids and Curt of Iowa City; two daughters, Mary Lou Reno of MaComb, Ill. and Ann Hardy of Dallas, Tex.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet Van Doren of Sun City, Ariz.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Eldon Haworth. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.

The casket will be taken from the Wagler Funeral Home to the church at noon Wednesday and will be closed at the beginning of the service.

A memorial has been established to the American Lung Association.
