JAMES KELSEY

James E. Kelsey, 74, Troy, died at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 1980 at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

He was born July 28, 1905 in Geneseo, Kan. to Ira B. and Cora B. Walker Kelsey. He was a retired laborer and worked at the Davis County Hospital for 13 years in the Laundry. He lived at Troy for 35 years and was a member of the Troy United Methodist Church. He married Marie Katherine Wolf on March 11, 1937 at Denver, Colo.

Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Betty Dick of Des Moines, Joan Wilcox of Troy and Janet Archer of Oquawka, Ill.; a brother, Merle of Hutchison, Kan.; four sisters, Mabel Rennison of Independence, Mo., Hazel Aldridge of Downing, Mo., Peggy Carlson of Stronghurst, Ill. and Pauline Burkhart of Lentner, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 1980 at the Wagler Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Ed Kail. Burial was in the Troy Cemetery.
