Frances Johnson

Frances E. Johnson, 68, of Pulaski, died at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 3, 1990, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

She was born March 15, 1921, in Troy to George and Iona Scarff Ensminger.

She married Lee Johnson on Oct. 14, 1939, in Rockport, Mo.

She was retired from the Davis County Hospital where she worked as a nurses aide for 25 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pulaski, attended Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant and taught at Hardy School, south of Bloomfield.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Fred of Pulaski; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Clyde Ensminger of Troy and Everett Ensminger of Boswell, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Feb. 6, 1990 at teh Wagler Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Ferguson and Kramer Smith officiating. Burial was in the Pulaski Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Des Moines.
