Lee Hyde

Lee Hyde, 75, 404 W. Walnut, Bloomfield, died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday at the Davis County Hospital.

He was born July 4, 1901 in Van Buren County to Edward and Etta Hoskins Hyde. A retired farmer, he had been a lifelong resident to Bloomfield four years ago.

He married Bertha Mae Olinger on June 17, 1924 at Memphis, Mo. She died Sept. 24 of this year.

Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Ann Farley of Bloomfield, Jane Hockersmith of Davenport and Mary Riney of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen of Memphis, Mo.; and five sisters, Esther Mustoe of Memphis, Mo., Zoe Mertens of Fort Madison, Josephine Michalski of Milwaukee, Wis. and Frankie Cochran and Phoebe Stanford, both of Marion.

Funeral services were held today at the Wagler Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. John Richardson. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton.
