Ellen C. Hill

Ellen Catherine Hill, daughter of Clinton and Georgia Thomas Fisher, was born August 15, 1901 near Cantril and died the evening of Saturday, June 18, 1988, at Maple Leaf Care Center, Mount Pleasant, at the age of 86.

Most of her life was lived in the Cantril community. She was a member of the Cantril Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Charles C. Hill who preceded her in death August 21, 1977. Also preceding her in death were an infant son and two sisters, Winnie Warning and Florence Heisel.

Remaining to cherish her memory are a sister, Lula Dorsey of Moline, Illinois, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 21, 1988 at 10:30 A.M. in the Cantril Christian Church, Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril. A memorial was established for her church. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
