Julian Arthur Grabowski

Julian Arthur Grabowski, son of Samuel Arthur Grabowski and Nyda Mae Goldsberry, was born May 30th, 1908, in Scotland County, Missouri, and passed away July 26th, 1978, in Memphis, Missouri, at the age of 70 years, 1 month, and 26 days.

On June 11, 1933, he married Myrtle Joyce Brown and to this union one child, Diane, was born

Julian was employed by the city of Memphis for 25 years. After his retirement he went to work at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ernest; two sisters, Ada Grabowski and Helen McCoy, and his son-in-law, Vernon Jackson.

Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; his daughter, Dieane and son-in-law, Robert Kight; four grandchildren, Shellie and her husband, Larry Jackson, Toni and her husband, Randall Kerby, Randy Jackson and Sally Jackson and one great grandson, David Jackson; three brothers, Bill Grabowski of Memphis, Raymond Grabowski of Baring, and Charles Grabowski; six sisters, Jessie Sallenback of Chicago Heights, Illinois, Jacy Weltle of Fostoria, Ohio, Faye Martin, Memphis, Missouri, Vada Mallett of Willington, Colorado, Mary Young of Joplin, Missouri, and Stella Simms of Phoenix, Arizona; many niecs and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Julian was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 29, at 2 p.m. in the Gerth & Baskett Funeral Chapel in Memphis, Missouri. The Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiated. Burial was in the McAdow Cemetery. Music was by Mrs. Connie Courtney. Body bearers were nephews.
