Brice Gilfillan

Brice Gilfillan, son of John Samuel and Edith Susan Kildoo Gilfillan passed away Thursday, October 17, 1974, at his home near Arbela. He was born July 22, 1910, at Milton, Iowa.

He married Loreta Maude Bowman, June 28, 1943. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Farley and husband Joe, of Downing, Mrs. Janet Murphy and husband, Junior, of Kahoka; five grandchildren, Treasa, Tammy and Tommy Farley and Scott and Angela Murphy; One brother, Earl Gilfillan of Rutledge and a niece, Betty Derkson of O'Fallon, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by D.W. Payne & Sons from their Memphis Chapel, Saturday, October 19, 1974, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiating. Soloist was Kenneth Campbell, and organist was Mrs. Ann Luther. Pallbearers were Harvey Jackson, Fred Hauk, Gene Rockhold, Donald Derksen, Stanley Mohr, and Hillis McClamrock. Interment was in the Memphis Cemetery.
