Beulah E. DeVoss

Beulah E. DeVoss, daughter of William and Elsie Young McMichael, was born January 26, 1902 in Des Moines and died at her home in Cantril the afternoon of Tuesday, November 29, 1988, at the age of 86. She married Don DeVoss July 3, 1927 in Wisconsin. They travelled and worked on the chautauqua circuit until moving to Cantril in 1934. They operated farms and engaged in livestock raising and had operated a feed and grain business in Milton. Mr. DeVoss died October 12, 1988. A sister, June Dixon, a brother, Mart McMichael, and a niece, Barbara Dixon Carlson also preceded her in death.

Mrs. DeVoss was a member of the Cantril Christian Church.

Surviving are a nephew, two great nephews, a great niece, a great, great nephew, three great, great, great nieces, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 3, 1988 at 11 a.m. in the Cantril Christian Church with Rev. Gerald Caughron and Rev. Andrew Rubenking officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril. Memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
