HERBERT JOSEPH DeMELLO

Hebert Joseph DeMello, 64, of SeaTac, Washington, died in his sleep at his home on September 28, 1996.

He was born in Kohala, Hawaii, June 20, 1932 to Evaeon Carvalho and Joseph DeMello, both of whom preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara, of SeaTac, Washington, four children, Evaeon Abbas, of Hampton, Iowa, Herbert DeMello II, of Moscow Mills, Missouri, Deborah Short of Keosauqua, and Joseph DeMello of Las Vegas, Nevada and nine grandchildren, Jennifer Short, Trenton DeMello, Nicholas Short, Jessica DeMello, Timothy Abbas, Matthew DeMello, Jacob DeMello, Benjamin Abbas, and Taylor DeMello.

Also surviving are two brothers, Joseph DeMello of Capolei, Oahu, Hawaii and Donald DeMello of Simi Valley, California.

Herbert was ordained deacon of the U.M.C.-Iowa Conference, until 1977, at which time he took honorable location. He was a member of the Riverton United Methodist Church in Tukwilla, Washington, and had retired from McDonald Douglas and Boeing.

A memorial service was held at his church on Thursday, October 3, 1996.
