EVELYN PEDEN DAVISON

Evelyn Davison, 76, Clarinda, died May 20, 1989, at the St. Francis Care Center in Burlington. She had been in the care center since September of 1987.

She was born July 16, 1912 in Bloomfield to Earl and Blanche Waggoner Peden. She married Delbert Davison May 30, 1942. He preceded her in death in August of 1981.

She graduated from Milton High School in 1930 and received a bachelor and masters degrees from North West Missouri State in Maryville, Mo. She was a supervisor at the Clarinda Mental Health Institute and a teacher until retirement.

Survivors include one son, Ralph F. Bell of Kissimme, Fla.; one daughter, Patricia Blume of Burlington; a step-daughter, Lela Astrella of Aptos, Calif., seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Edith Palmer of Shenandoah and one brother, Emery Peden of St. Paul, Minn.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 1989, at the Walker-Merrick Funeral Home in Clarinda Cemetery.
