Obituary
CHARLES CONNOR

Charles E. Connor, 58, of Cedar Rapids and a former Milton resident, died at Veteran's Hospital in Iowa City at 6:30 p.m. May 12.

He was born Jan. 1, 1920 in Burlington to Charles A. and Pearl Rice Conner. He married Winifred Harward June 16, 1938 in Kahoka, Mo. He was a member of the Congregational Church in Garner, Iowa, and was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors: his wife; sons Ronald of Missorui(err), Gregory of Cedar Rapids and William of Burton, S.C.; daughters Rosalee Conner of Peoria, Ill., Delores Weeks of Cedar Rapids, Deanna Hellweg of Fort Madison and Marilyn Thomas of Union, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Tripp, Katherine Mortimer, Orpha Mortimor, Ruth Long and Gladys Guyman of Keokuk, Margaret Berry of Davenport and Maxine Guyman of Topeka, Kan.

Services: Monday, May 15, 1978 at 2 p.m. at Milton Christian Church with Rev. Richard Falletti officiating. Buril(err) in Sunnyside Cemetery with military rites. Priester Funeral Chapel in Milton was in charge of arrangements.
