LORA CLES

While playing at school several days ago Lora, the fourteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cles, living four miles north east of Pulaski, was struck in the eye with a snowball and died Wednesday morning as a result.

It seems about two weeks ago Thursday while engaged with other children of Blackaby School, in a playfull snowball fight, Lora was hit in the eye with one of the missiles. The wound was painful, but not considered serious until about a week ago when her eye commenced to swell and the child suffered great pain and steadily grew worse.

An eye specialist was called and on Tuesday with the aide of Dr. Stephenson of Milton operated on the girl, but she never regained consciousness and passed away Wed. morning.

It is presumed that for some time an abcess has been forming behind the girls eyeball, as she had complained of pain in her eyes and head. The blow hasteded the growth of the abcess.

Funeral services were held at Milton last Friday afternoon. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.
