Voletta June Campbell

Voletta June Campbell was born on June 3, 1899, to Crawford Hamilton Lancaster and Rose Ella Fryrear Lancaster in Scotland County, Missouri and passed away at the Scotland County Nursing Home, Memphis, Missouri, Monday, May 24, 1982, at 10:25 p.m. She had been a resident of the Nursing Home since September 23rd, 1977. June would have been 83 years old on June 3rd.

At a young age she confessed Christ and was Baptized at Crawford, being immersed in a pond of which steps were cut from ice. June was the first of the 13 to be Baptized and watched the remaining 12 being baptized after her baptism. She was a member of the Crawford Christian Church. Later she placed her membership at the First Christian Church in Memphis.

June was married to Ward Ernest Campbell on Valentine Day, 1917. To this union five children were born, Raymond, Ivalee, Iola, Kenneth and Larry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward; her parents, one brother-in-law Mearl . . . . was organist and Guy Gardine was soloist.
