EDGAR B. BLACK

Edgar B. Black, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Black passed away April 15 at Ranger, Texas, where he had lived the past 27 years.

Edgar was 57 years of age, and had been born and raised in the Milton Community, and was a graduate of the Milton High School, with the class of 1939.

He received training as an airplane mechanic, and was stationed at Rantoul Air Base, in Illinois and was the proprietor of an appliance store in Ranger.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred, one daughter Jan and her husband, three grandchildren, a brother Bob of Idaho, two sisters, Florence Carlson of Memphis and Helen Moore of Ames.

Death was caused by a massive stroke suffered a few days earlier. Burial was April 17 at Ranger, Texas.
