CLYDE BICKEL

MILTON - Clyde E. Bickel, 62 died Feb 16 at Harbor General Hospital in Torrence, CA. He was born Oct. 16, 1907, in Pulaski the son of William H. and Cora Darby Bickel. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Rolland Andrews of Milton, Mrs. Lester Pender of Memphis, MO., Mrs. Robert Enlow of Bloomfield, Mary Ann and Linda Bickel in Dayton, Ohio. One son Claude Bickel of West Burlington; 17 grandchildren; one great grand-daughter; one sister, Mrs. Maurice Rump of Ottumwa; and two brothers, Marvin of Albia, and Ormel of Milton.

A Technical Sargent in World War II, he received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Mid-East Campaign Medal.

A graveside service will be held in Pulaski Cemetery Saturday at 1 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Herb Phillips of the Milton United Methodist Church. The American Legion will be in charge of Military rites.

The body is at the Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton.
