William S. Ehrman

The funeral service for William S. Ehrman, 76, of Farmington was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19, in the Bentonsport United Methodist church. The Rev. James Ford officiated. Burial was in the Vernon cemetery. The Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, was in charge.

Mr. Ehrman died Wednesday, June 16, at 9 p.m. in Veterans hospital, Iowa City. Death terminated a lengthy illness.

He was born Feb. 12, 1895, at Vernon, the son of John and Nancy Stemple Ehrman. He spent his childhood at Vernon. He moved from Bentonsport to FArmington in 1959. Mr. Ehrman was a retired farmer.

His marriage to Geraldine Bills of Memphis, Mo. took place Oct. 6, 1945, at Farmington. She survives.

Mr. Ehrman was a member of the Assembly of God church. He was a W.W. I veteran.

Surviving, in addition to his widow, are three sons, Larry, Steven and Timothy, all of Farmington; three daughters, Nancy Warren of Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada, Louise Andrews of Burlington, and Tammy, at home; one step-daughter, Joann Nelson of Birmingham; two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
