George W. Tyner

George W. Tyner, 77, Salem, died in Henry County Memorial hospital, Mt. Pleasant, at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, June 20.

A brother Robert Tyner, of Burlington, is the only immediate survivor.

He was the son of Elijah and Emma Geese Tyner and was born May 5, 1894, near Salem.

Mr. Tyner was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Congregational church and of Simkin-Pigeon American Legion post.

He was unmarried.

Funeral services were held at Beatty-Jennings Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, with the Rev. Edmund Neubauer officiating. Burial was in the Salem East cemetery.
