Mrs. Eva Barton

Services were held at the Congregational church Tuesday afternoon, June 1, for Mrs. Eva Barton, who spent all of her 95 years in the Salem community.

The Rev. Edmund Neubauer officiated. Burial was in Salem Friends cemetery.

Mrs. Barton was born March 26, 1876, the daughter of Alonzo and Martha Ratliff Mosher. She was married to Arthur Barton at Salem on Aug. 30, 1927; he died the following year.

Surviving: Two step-daughters, Mrs. John Cox of Payton and Mrs. Rex Johnson of St. Charles and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Barton was the last surviving member of a family of 10.
