Clay Lasley

Clay Lasley, 73, of Corning, Calif., former resident of Douds died Sunday, May 16 at San Francisco, Calif. following a long illness.

He was born Aug. 15, 1897 in Van Buren County, the son of C.E., and Ola Haney Lasley.

He is survived by his widow, the former Anna Hissem; two daughters, Beulah Grootveld of Red Bluff, Calif. and Viola Murphy of San Francisco, Calif., one son, Robert Lasley of San Francisco; several grandchildren; two brothers, Ellsworth Lasley of Red Bluff, Calif. and Wallace Lasley of Eddyville; and two sisters, Ruth Caster and Maefra Nason, both of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by a brother.

The service and burial were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Corning, Calif.

A memorial has been established by the family, payable to the Cancer Fund.
