Robert Hamilton

Robert Hamilton, 61, of Farmington, died Friday, April 23, at 9:30 a.m. in University Hospitals, Iowa City. He had been a patient there one month.

He was born Nov. 17, 1909 at Mt. Sterling, the son of Robert F. and Addie Lanam Hamilton.

Mr. Hamilton was employed as a mechanic for J.J. Niching at Pilot Grove.

He married Sylvia Patton on Feb. 9, 1935 at Kahoka, Mo. She survives.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by two sons - Donald M. Hamilton of Fort Madison and Norman G. Hamilton of Farmington; four sisters, Nelda Mitchell of Quincy, Ill., Garnet Stiles, Lincoln, Nebr., Gwendolyn Robertson of Sedalia, Mo., and Opal Brown of Coolidge, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Monday at 1:30 pm. in the Farmington Assembly of God church. The Rev. Nolan Kelsey officiated. Burial was in Donnell cemetery. Donnellson.

The Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, was in charge of arrangements.
