Thomas LaMere, 68, of Croton died Saturday, April 3, at 1:30 p.m. in Sacred Heart Hospital, Fort Madison.
He was born Dec. 23, 1902 at Birch Powell township, Mich., the son of Louis and Elizabeth Martin LaMere.
He married Laura Saltzgaver March 13, 1945. She died in 1966.
Mr. LaMere was an Army veteran.
The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. The Rev. William Wiebler officiated. Burial was in the Croton cemetery.
